Some summers are about maintenance.
Keeping what you have, hoping the margins fall your way.
This isn’t one of those summers for Juventus.
This is a summer with a clear agenda.
And the names being linked tell you everything about the ambition behind it.
Juventus plot moves for star trio
According to Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are targeting three or four significant signings this summer.
CEO Damien Comolli and manager Luciano Spalletti are aligned on exactly the profile they’re looking for.
The first area of focus is goalkeeper.
Alisson Becker, 32, has emerged as a genuine target for Juventus, with Spalletti having worked with the Brazilian during his time at Roma.
The Liverpool legend could potentially leave Anfield a year before his contract expires, though any deal would be far from straightforward.
But Spalletti’s admiration is clear.
In midfield, the name at the top of the list is Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, currently at Marseille after leaving Tottenham.
The 30-year-old Dane is a leader in every sense.
His contract runs until 2028, but a fee of around €15 million could reportedly be enough to bring him to Turin.
That’s exceptional value for a player of his profile and experience.
In attack, Juventus are exploring Bernardo Silva, who looks set to leave Manchester City as a free agent this summer.
The Portuguese playmaker, managed by Jorge Mendes, has Barcelona among his suitors.
Juventus know they face serious competition there.
Their overall strategy is straightforward, even if the execution won’t be.
Comolli has spoken openly about wanting an ambitious window, pointing to the fact that players are attracted to the club even without knowing which European competition they’ll be in next season.
And with Spalletti now contracted until 2028 and a clear vision in place, this summer feels like it could genuinely reshape what Juventus look like going into next season.
The foundations are there.
Now they need the reinforcements to match the ambition.
