A Premier League club has introduced a major transformation to its historic stadium as part of efforts to modernise the matchday experience. However, this is not a minor upgrade.
The 143-year-old ground has undergone significant changes, with a strong focus on atmosphere and fan engagement.
One of the most eye-catching additions is a redesigned player arrival route. Players now walk along a dedicated path, with young supporters lining the way to welcome them into the stadium.
At the same time, a new “Heroes Tunnel” has been installed, creating a more immersive build-up before kick-off. The biggest change, though, comes with how players enter the pitch.
Instead of the traditional route, they now emerge through a newly built digital tunnel fitted with LED panels. The structure creates a dramatic visual experience as they step out into the stadium.
At Burnley’s Turf Moor, a large corner screen has also been installed above the tunnel, adding further impact to the moment.
According to digital partner ADI, the upgrades form part of a wider transformation project that has been ongoing for the past three years.
Multiple LED screens and digital features have already been added around the ground.
Meanwhile, improvements have also been made outside the stadium, with new LED gantries introduced to help manage crowd movement on matchdays.
Despite these upgrades, Burnley’s situation on the pitch remains difficult. They are currently battling near the bottom of the Premier League table.
With 12 points game between the Clarets and 17th-placed West Ham United, relegation is truly on the cards for them. So, they must be preparing to play in the Championship next season.
