Real Madrid are dealing with growing tension after a serious dressing room incident involving Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni.
The situation has quickly become one of the biggest talking points in Spanish football ahead of the summer transfer window.
Reports from Spain suggest frustrations inside the squad have been building for weeks following a disappointing campaign and growing pressure around the club.
What initially started as a disagreement during training reportedly escalated into a much more serious confrontation the following day.
The altercation became so intense that Valverde eventually required medical treatment after suffering a cut during the clash.
Real Madrid have already responded by opening disciplinary proceedings against both players involved, as concerns continue to grow internally.
However, the bigger consequence could now arrive during the summer transfer window.
According to Fichajes, Real Madrid are now prepared to listen to offers for both Federico Valverde and Aurelien Tchouameni following the dressing room fallout.
The club reportedly wants to avoid allowing the conflict to damage squad harmony further moving forward. Now, Liverpool are emerging as one of the clubs watching the situation closely.
The Reds will look to strengthen their midfield again this summer. Now, they see the current situation at Real Madrid as a potential opportunity.
However, any deal would still be extremely expensive. Despite the disciplinary issues, Real Madrid reportedly still value both midfielders highly and have no intention of accepting reduced offers.
Interest in Tchouameni is also growing across Europe, although his most likely destination remains unclear for now.
Transfer News Live already reported that Manchester United are also trying to capitalise on Real Madrid’s training ground fights in their pursuit of signing either Valverde or Tchouameni.
The situation could now become one of the major transfer stories of the summer as Real Madrid attempt to restore stability behind the scenes.
