Pep Guardiola leaves Manchester City

Manchester City will also say goodbye to Bernardo Silva and John Stones this summer.

Breaking News - Manchester City

Manchester City are preparing for one of the biggest moments in the club’s modern history after Pep Guardiola reportedly decided to leave the Etihad.

The timing stunned players and staff inside the club. City are still fighting for the Premier League title and face Bournemouth tonight in a crucial match before Sunday’s final game of the season.

Only days ago, Guardiola guided Manchester City to another trophy after beating Chelsea 1-0 in the FA Cup final.

The victory secured the domestic cup double and looked like another reminder of Guardiola’s dominance in English football. However, uncertainty around his future never disappeared.

The Spaniard repeatedly avoided giving clear answers during recent interviews despite having one year left on his contract.

Now, according to The Sun, Guardiola informed Manchester City players during a late-night group call that he will leave the club after Sunday’s clash.

Guardiola arrived at Manchester City from Bayern Munich in 2016 and transformed the club into one of the strongest teams in world football.

During his spell at the Etihad, he won six Premier League titles and delivered Manchester City’s first Champions League trophy in 2023.

Sunday’s match will now reportedly become Guardiola’s 593rd and final game as Manchester City manager.

Reports already linked former City assistant Enzo Maresca with the role after his departure from Chelsea earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Manchester City will also say goodbye to Bernardo Silva and John Stones this summer.

Sp, after nearly a decade at the Etihad, one of football’s greatest managerial eras reportedly looks set to end this weekend.
