Tottenham Hotspur are preparing for a huge summer rebuild after enduring their worst Premier League season in club history.
Spurs finished 17th in the table and only avoided relegation after beating Everton on the final day of the campaign.
The club now want major changes ahead of next season and have already started targeting reinforcements across several positions.
Reports claim Tottenham are closing in on deals for Liverpool defender Andy Robertson and Bournemouth centre-back Marcos Senesi.
The club also want attacking reinforcements following Richarlison’s uncertain future in north London.
One player heavily linked with Spurs in recent weeks is Manchester City winger Savinho.
The Brazilian winger reportedly emerged as a serious target after struggling for regular importance under Pep Guardiola last season.
Manchester City previously blocked Tottenham’s approach for the attacker last summer because they viewed him as an important squad player. However, things have now changed.
Reports claim City are prepared to sanction the winger’s departure this summer after Antoine Semenyo’s arrival reduced his role within the squad.
According to Fabrizio Romano, talks between both clubs are progressing positively, while Manchester City reportedly value the player at around £60 million.
Now, Tottenham Hotspur fans believe another major hint may have emerged online.
Xavi Simons recently posted an old picture with Savinho on Instagram amid growing speculation surrounding the Brazilian’s future.
The pair previously played together at PSV Eindhoven before moving elsewhere in Europe.
Simons’ post immediately sparked excitement among Tottenham supporters, who interpreted the message as a possible reunion hint ahead of the summer window.
The Tottenham midfielder will miss a lengthy period after suffering a torn ACL injury against Wolves in April. Reports suggest the Dutchman will remain sidelined until 2027.
Despite that setback, Simons appears to remain heavily involved around the club behind the scenes.
🚨🇧🇷 Negotiations ongoing for Savinho to Tottenham as revealed two weeks ago… and progressing well.#THFC believe Savinho wants the move, talks continue as Man City could open doors to his exit in case of good proposal.
