Bayern Munich eye blockbuster move for Vinicius Junior

Vinicius enjoyed another productive season for Real Madrid before joining Brazil at the World Cup.

Bayern Munich are preparing for another ambitious summer after winning the Bundesliga under Vincent Kompany.

The German champions have already strengthened their squad and continue to explore further additions ahead of the new campaign.

The club has completed deals for Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, while also opening discussions with Juventus over Gleison Bremer.

However, the Bundesliga giants have now shifted their attention towards an even bigger opportunity.

According to Ekrem Konur, Bayern Munich are monitoring Vinicius Junior as negotiations over a new Real Madrid contract remain at a standstill.

The report adds that the Brazilian’s current deal expires in one year, leaving Madrid prepared to consider a sale this summer rather than risk losing him for free.

Vinicius and Real Madrid have yet to reach an agreement over fresh terms. The Brazilian wants a salary equal to or higher than Kylian Mbappé’s wages.

But Real Madrid have rejected those demands. The report also states that both parties paused negotiations during the FIFA World Cup.

Formal discussions will resume now that Brazil’s campaign has ended. Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly unhappy with the possibility of losing Vinicius for free.

That concern has increased the uncertainty surrounding the winger’s long-term future at the Santiago Bernabéu.

Vinicius enjoyed another productive season for Real Madrid before joining Brazil at the World Cup.

He scored 21 goals and registered 11 assists across all competitions before turning his full attention to international duty.
