Despite that, it’s been a season of huge success.
Hansi Flick’s side have beaten arch rivals Real Madrid to the LaLiga title, despite Los Blancos strengthening their side with the arrival of Kylian Mbappe.
By beating Real Madrid in the Copa del Rey final also, La Blaugrana have completed another domestic double for the season.
Because of their success this season, it’s natural that Barcelona fans want to see some of their superstars stay at Camp Nou for longer.
Especially when it comes to their attacking talent.
It’s arguable that this is the best Barcelona attack since the days of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar.
Which is an incredible achievement in itself.
That’s why it’s almost expected that this seasons Ballon d’Or is going to be a Barcelona attacker.
Speculation has been rife around the future plans for some of their attackers.
And now it seems that the club have tied one of their stars down to the club for longer.
Barcelona Football Club have officially announced that Raphinha has signed a new contract at the club.
Raphinha’s new deal will keep him tied to the club until 2028.
The former Leeds United attacker has been with the LaLiga giants since 2022 and has really come to the fore this season.
Alongside fellow attacker Lamine Yamal, the two have terrorised defences in Spain and across Europe all season long.
There had been speculation that the Brazilian could return to England, but it’s now certain that Raphinha is going to stay with Barcelona for the immediate future.
