Como confirm permanent signing of England international Trevoh Chalobah from Chelsea on five-year deal

According to Como 1907’s official website, the Italian club have confirmed the permanent signing of Chalobah, with the 27-year-old centre-back signing a contract until 2031 and reuniting with head coach Cesc Fabregas in what represents a significant statement of ambition from the Lake Como club.

Fabregas didn’t hide his excitement.

“Trevoh is an important signing for us and a player who represents the level of ambition we have at this club,” the former Chelsea midfielder said.

A club back in Serie A after decades away and now attracting players at a level nobody expected.

With their ownership model and Fabregas’s coaching reputation combining to create one of the most interesting projects in European football.

He made his senior debut in the 2021 UEFA Super Cup.

He came through loan spells at Ipswich Town, Huddersfield Town and Lorient before establishing himself as a first-team regular.

Making more than 150 appearances in all competitions.

He made his senior England debut in 2025 and was part of the squad that finished third at the World Cup in North America.

And through all of it, he wore only one club shirt.

Until now.
