Tottenham Hotspur eye move for Chelsea star

Tottenham Hotspur remain active in the final stages of the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur remain active in the final stages of the summer transfer window despite already spending heavily on Roberto De Zerbi’s squad.

Spurs have committed more than £320 million, bringing in Sandro Tonali, Savio, Mateus Fernandes and Jan Paul van Hecke.

Omar Marmoush has also joined on loan, while Tottenham continue working on further deals before the deadline.

Their late-window activity includes advanced discussions with Everton over Iliman Ndiaye, with Richarlison potentially moving in the opposite direction.

Several departures are also progressing as Tottenham attempt to reshape the squad further. Pape Matar Sarr is nearing a Juventus move, while Mikey Moore is also heading towards an exit.

Kevin Danso has been allowed to leave, creating further room for adjustments to De Zerbi’s defensive options.

Tottenham are now assessing another position despite already committing to Antonin Kinsky as their new first-choice goalkeeper.

According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham Hotspur are considering a move for Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez before the transfer window closes.

Chelsea have made Sanchez available after reaching an agreement to sign Emiliano Martinez from Aston Villa.

Intermediaries are now working to find the Chelsea goalkeeper a new club, with Tottenham emerging as one possible destination.

Sanchez already knows De Zerbi after previously working with the Tottenham manager at Brighton & Hove Albion.

That existing relationship could make the goalkeeper an option as Spurs review whether they require further competition in the position.

Tottenham also signed veteran Martin Dubravka, but the club are still assessing whether Kinsky and Dubravka provide sufficient cover.

Any move for Sanchez would therefore add another experienced option but could also affect Kinsky’s development pathway.

Spurs have started their Premier League campaign poorly, losing their opening two matches without scoring.

They suffered defeats against Brentford and Newcastle United before beating Charlton Athletic 5-1 in the Carabao Cup.

Tottenham are now considering whether another goalkeeper should be added as their busy summer overhaul reaches its final stage.
