Liverpool eye deadline day move for Bundesliga forward

Liverpool are now assessing another Bundesliga attacker before completing their summer business.

Liverpool are considering another attacking addition after completing a significant overhaul during Andoni Iraola’s first summer in charge.

The Reds have already strengthened their frontline with Bradley Barcola, completing a £123 million deal for the Paris Saint-Germain winger.

Liverpool also retained Cody Gakpo despite Manchester City submitting an £80 million bid during the closing stages of the window.

Those decisions followed Mohamed Salah’s departure, leaving Liverpool continuing to assess options capable of strengthening their attacking group.

Victor Munoz also arrived from Osasuna, while Liverpool invested heavily elsewhere by signing Jeremy Jacquet from Rennes for £55 million.

Ronald Araujo joined from Barcelona on loan with an option to buy following Ibrahima Konate’s move to Real Madrid.

Further squad changes saw Stefan Bajcetic return permanently to Celta Vigo and Harvey Elliott join Valencia on a season-long loan.

Liverpool are now assessing another Bundesliga attacker before completing their summer business.

According to Sky Germany, Liverpool are interested in signing VfB Stuttgart forward Jamie Leweling, with Everton also monitoring the German international.

The 25-year-old remains under contract with Stuttgart until 2029, meaning the Bundesliga club are under no immediate pressure to sell.

Leweling produced 11 goals and 12 assists across all competitions last season and can operate on either attacking flank.

Liverpool’s interest comes as they continue searching for options on the right side following Salah’s departure.

Barcola and Munoz have already joined, although both are more comfortable operating from the left.

Stuttgart have no intention of making Leweling’s departure straightforward, with any late agreement potentially requiring a significant offer.

Everton are also tracking his situation as they consider attacking reinforcements following Iliman Ndiaye’s expected move to Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Liverpool have started their Premier League campaign with consecutive 2-2 draws under Iraola.

Their attention could now return to the transfer market as they consider whether to make a late move for Leweling.
