Real Madrid midfielder could join Galatasaray

Real Madrid have not completely closed the door on a sale.

Galatasaray are continuing to explore further additions after an ambitious summer transfer window under Okan Buruk.

The Turkish champions strengthened several areas by signing Rafael Leao, Aleksey Batrakov, Deniz Gul and El-Chadaille Bitshiabu.

They have also started the 2026/27 Super Lig campaign unbeaten, collecting seven points from their opening three matches.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid made major changes of their own after appointing Jose Mourinho and spending heavily during the summer.

Los Blancos recruited Yan Diomande, Marc Cucurella and Denzel Dumfries, while Bernardo Silva and Ibrahima Konate arrived for free.

However, Galatasaray have continued working on another potentially significant deal involving a member of Mourinho’s midfield.

According to Fotomac, Galatasaray have been negotiating with Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga since June.

The Turkish club have reportedly offered up to €35 million for the 23-year-old France international.

Real Madrid, however, are said to want at least €50 million before agreeing to his departure.

Galatasaray are now considering increasing the overall value of their proposal by including a mandatory purchase option.

Mourinho will have an important influence over any final decision concerning Camavinga’s future.

So, Real Madrid could become more flexible if Mourinho approves the midfielder’s departure.

The report also states that Camavinga is not currently viewed as a guaranteed starter in Madrid’s plans.

He started against Malaga but faced criticism from supporters following his performance in that match.

Furthermore, Real Madrid have not completely closed the door on a sale. The Spanish club would still expect a suitable transfer fee before allowing the midfielder to leave.

Galatasaray therefore remain interested as they assess whether they can bridge the gap between their offer and Madrid’s valuation.

Any agreement would add another major name to Buruk’s squad following an already active summer of recruitment.
