Arsenal have started the 2026/27 season strongly under Mikel Arteta after another busy summer transfer window.
The Gunners opened the campaign by beating Manchester City 3-0 in the FA Community Shield.
They then defeated Coventry City and Aston Villa before opening their Champions League campaign with a 1-0 win over Napoli.
Arsenal also reshaped several areas of Arteta’s squad during the summer.
Bruno Guimaraes arrived from Newcastle United for £75 million, while Ezri Konsa strengthened the defence. The club also completed Piero Hincapie’s permanent move from Bayer Leverkusen.
Illan Meslier joined on a free transfer, while Christos Tzolis added another option on the wing. Arsenal also lost several attacking players during the window.
Gabriel Martinelli joined Al-Hilal, while Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Jesus also left north London. The club has now moved early to secure its first addition for next summer.
Arsenal have officially confirmed that the club has reached a pre-contract agreement to sign Georgian forward Andria Bartishvili in July 2027.
The 17-year-old will turn 18 before completing his move to north London. Bartishvili can operate as a winger or attacking midfielder.
He currently plays on loan for Iberia 1999 in Georgia’s top flight. His parent club, Kolkheti 1913, gave him his Erovnuli Liga debut during the 2025 season.
Bartishvili then won the division’s best under-17 player award at the end of that campaign. He moved to Iberia 1999 for the 2026 season and scored his first professional goal against Gagra in May.
The youngster has also progressed quickly through Georgia’s youth teams. He scored on his under-17 debut against Slovenia before advancing to the under-18 and under-21 sides.
Bartishvili has now made two appearances for Georgia at under-21 level. Arsenal will complete the transfer next summer once the deal passes the required regulatory processes.
