Liverpool have started a new chapter under Andoni Iraola after making major changes during the summer transfer window.
The Reds opened their Premier League campaign with draws against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest.
They then beat Ipswich Town 2-0 before defeating Atletico Madrid 2-1 in their Champions League opener.
Liverpool also reshaped Iraola’s squad after several long-serving players left Anfield during the summer.
Mohamed Salah joined Trabzonspor, while Ibrahima Konate completed a move to Real Madrid.
Andy Robertson also left for Tottenham Hotspur as Liverpool made significant changes across their squad.
The club responded by signing Bradley Barcola from Paris Saint-Germain for a fee approaching £123 million.
Liverpool also added Ronald Araujo on loan from Barcelona and completed a £60 million deal for Jeremy Jacquet. The Reds are now monitoring another young player as they consider future midfield additions.
According to Sportowy, Liverpool are keeping tabs on PSV Eindhoven midfielder Paul Wanner. The club has started gathering reports on the 20-year-old’s performances and development.
Liverpool believe Wanner could add creativity and mobility in central areas under Iraola. The Germany international can operate as a number ten or in a central midfield role.
However, Liverpool face strong competition if they decide to pursue a transfer. Real Madrid and Manchester City are also monitoring Wanner, while Bayern Munich continue to follow his situation.
PSV currently value the midfielder at around €50 million and do not want to lose him cheaply. Wanner remains a developing player, which could influence how much interested clubs are willing to offer.
Liverpool have not opened negotiations with PSV at this stage. For now, the club continues to monitor Wanner as Iraola assesses his midfield options for future transfer windows.
