There have been a large number of incomings and outgoings since the arrival of Todd Boehly as Chelsea owner in May 2022.
Since the 2022/23 season, they have spent over €1 billion on players and received over €500 million in player sales.
This has seen fan favourites Mason Mount and Conor Gallagher depart the club.
Despite initial struggles, Chelsea seem to be going from strength to strength on the pitch.
2022/23 was a disaster for Chelsea after Thomas Tuchel’s surprise sacking.
Graham Potter failed to live up to his Brighton hype as Chelsea boss and his replacement Frank Lampard had the club on the verge of being in a relegation battle.
A sixth-place finish in 2023/24 and a League Cup final saw progression the pitch for Chelsea, with Cole Palmer having a breakout season.
This was not enough to keep Mauricio Pochettino in a job and Enzo Maresca was appointed as the former Spurs boss’ replacement.
Maresca’s debut as Chelsea manager in the 2024/25 season saw the Blues finish in fourth along with a UEFA Europa Conference League trophy.
With a FIFA Club World Cup final tomorrow against Paris Saint-Germain, they could earn even further revenue and make more additions.
As part of the domino effect of Chelsea’s transfer policy under Boehly, players will have to depart the club.
