Victor Osimhen’s future is becoming one of the most intense sagas of the summer.
The Napoli striker, once seen as untouchable, is now at the heart of a tense standoff.
Clubs across Europe have been monitoring the situation, but it is Galatasaray who seem most involved.
Victor Osimhen had interest from Saudi Arabia earlier in the window, but nothing materialised.
Napoli’s high demands kept potential buyers at bay. Still, behind the scenes, things have not settled.
While Napoli began preparing for their pre-season, Osimhen remained distant.
He has not joined up with the squad. He has not made himself available.
There have been strong signs that the player no longer feels part of the project.
Fans have sensed the change and so have teammates.
Napoli’s directors have attempted to calm the situation, but the silence from Osimhen’s side has grown louder by the day.
The tension is now turning into a crisis. Napoli were expecting him back for pre-season.
That has not happened. The reason is not about fitness or injury.
According to Nicolo Schira, Osimhen has told Napoli that he will not wear their shirt again.
He is refusing to report for training and is pushing for a return to Galatasaray.
Initially, he wanted to join Manchester United as reported by Transfer News Live earlier.
However, the Red Devils were not ready to pay the wage he was demanding.
So, they have set their eyes on other targets and moved on from Victor Osimhen.
The Nigerian striker is determined. Galatasaray is his only choice now. No other destination is being considered.
For Napoli, the pressure is mounting. They may be forced to open talks sooner than expected.
And for Osimhen, this may be the final push to break free and make the move he truly wants.
Victor #Osimhen only wants #Galatasaray and is pushing to return to Gala as soon as possible. The striekr has comunicated to #Napoli that he will no longer wear Napoli’s shirt and he won’t answer to Napoli’s call for the pre-season. #transfers https://t.co/HZQ9m7HFx8
