When the Club World Cup final kicked off, all eyes were on the heavyweights, Chelsea and PSG at a packed MetLife Stadium.

There was pressure from every direction. But one player stole the show in a way no one saw coming.

Chelsea ran riot on the night, beating the Parisians in style.

After thrashing the tournament favourites Real Madrid by 4-0 in the semi-final, Paris Saint-Germain were firm favourites to lift the trophy.

Nobody gave Chelsea a chance and if Chelsea win, it would be considered as an upset.

But, the way Enzo Maresca’s team played, nobody can call the result an upset.

The Blues thrashed the Champions League winners by 3-0 to win the inaugural rebranded FIFA Club World Cup crown.

And the man at the heart of it all has caught the eyes of the Parisians.

PSG has a knack of smashing transfer records. Everyone still remembers what Nasser Al-Khelaifi did when he wanted to bring Neymar to Parc des Princes.

After losing the Club World Cup final to literally one man, now, the French giants want revenge; not on the scoreboard, but in the market.

And they are ready to go all out. According to Fichajes, PSG are preparing a staggering €250 million offer for Cole Palmer.

It would smash records. It would shake the summer window to its core.

But there is a problem. Chelsea do not want to lose their crown jewel. Palmer is only 23.

He is already the team’s main man. Since joining from Manchester City, he has gone from a prospect to project leader.

There is no sign from his side either that he wants to leave. He is settled. He is thriving in London.

Cole Palmer lit up the final, and now PSG want him more than ever.

But Chelsea are not ready to let him go; no matter the price.
