Manchester City could soon be facing a big change in goal.

With Ederson attracting serious interest from Galatasaray, the Premier League champions are already looking ahead.

The Turkish giants want a top-level shot-stopper after winning their domestic title. That has forced City into action.

Pep Guardiola is not one to wait. He knows the importance of having a steady pair of hands between the sticks. So, City have started lining up their next move.

Several options are being considered. One name is James Trafford, but he is seen more as a long-term project.

What City really want is someone who can start right away.

Also, the performance of Ederson in the last season has dipped significantly. That is why the Citizens are looking for a new shot stopper actively.

Now, according to Fichajes, Manchester City are preparing a €75 million bid for Nations League hero Diogo Costa.

The 25-year-old has a release clause with FC Porto. And while City may start lower, they may raise their offer soon.

Guardiola wants the deal done quickly. And if Ederson does leave, Costa looks set to be the next man guarding the net at the Etihad.

Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United had all shown interest earlier. But it is City who are now closest to landing him.

Diogo Costa has been a pivotal part of the Portuguese national team. He has played a crucial role in helping Portugal clinch their second Nations League title.

Costa was superb in the penalty shootout in the final against Spain to help the Selecao lift the title.

Also, throughout the season with Porto, Diogo Costa have kept 19 clean sheets in 43 games.

16 of those 19 clean sheets came in the Portuguese league.

So, no wonder so many clubs are targeting Costa. Thus, this Diogo Costa to Manchester City transfer saga will be interesting to check out.
