Chelsea has had a mixed season. They started the season off brilliantly.

After a string of poor results, they are now battling to qualify for the UEFA Champions League.

The Blues are also looking to add a new striker to their ranks. Nicolas Jackson has not been a satisfactory signing for Chelsea.

They are looking to sign a prolific striker who would help them challenge for the Premier League and Champions League.

Chelsea are looking to find a Premier League-proven striker. They are already linked to Liam Delap of Ipswich Town.

However, the Daily Mail is reporting that they have identified another striker who can prove to be lethal at Stamford Bridge.

As per the report, Chelsea are willing to sign Brighton & Hove Albion striker Joao Pedro.

The Blues are ready to offer £50 million for the Brazilian striker.

But, they are not the only Premier League club that is looking to sign the player.

According to another report, Liverpool, Newcastle, and Aston Villa are also looking to sign the striker.

So, in case the £50m million offer is not enough to convince the Seagulls to sell the Brazilian, Chelsea can also offer a player-plus deal to bring the striker to Stamford Bridge.

Joao Pedro has scored 10 goals in 30 appearances this season. He also scored 20 goals in 40 appearances the season before.

Thus, Pedro is Premier League-proven and fits the profile Chelsea are looking to have in their ranks.

He can also play as a winger if the team demands. So, the Brazilian will surely be an upgrade from Jackson.

Now, it all comes down to convincing Brighton to sell the player. However, if Chelsea fail to sign Pedro, they will have other targets they can go for.
