Newcastle United are having a rough time in the transfer market. They are targeting some big names in the transfer market.

However, European giants, specifically the Premier League ones, are swooping in and hijacking their deals. The Magpies wanted Joao Pedro and Liam Delap, but both went to Chelsea.

After that, they wanted to bring in Hugo Ekitike, reportedly, to play alongside Alexander Isak. But the French striker chose Liverpool instead.

Also, they wanted Mohamed Kudus, who went to Tottenham Hotspur and James Trafford, who chose Manchester City over Newcastle.

Their new manager, Thomas Frank, wanted to sign his former player at Brentford, Bryan Mbeumo. But the Cameroonian decided to join Manchester United.

It now looks like their latest transfer target, Benjamin Sesko, is taking the same path. After Newcastle’s €90 million bid, Manchester United have also submitted a €85 million bid.

Now, the decision is up to the Slovenian to decide where he wants to play next season. Reports suggest that he could end up choosing Manchester United.

That is why Newcastle are not wasting time identifying alternatives in the transfer market. Transfer News Live recently revealed that PSG striker Goncalo Ramos is a target for Newcastle United.

However, it looks like the Magpies will once again be in a transfer race for their latest target.

According to CaughtOffside, Liverpool also have Goncalo Ramos in their list of transfer targets. However, the dream target for the Reds is Alexander Isak of Newcastle United.

Liverpool have submitted a bid of £110 million for the Swedish striker, which Newcastle rejected immediately as they are not ready to sell him.

The only way Newcastle will be willing to sell Isak is if they find a suitable replacement for the Swede.

If they fail to sign Sesko, Liverpool will know that the door will be shut for Isak’s deal. That is why the Reds are also eyeing a move for Goncalo Ramos.
