Manchester City are looking for a move for Rodrygo. Pep Guardiola really likes the player and would love to have him at the Etihad.

Now, to sign Rodrygo, City need to make space for him in the squad. With Savinho expected to leave for Tottenham Hotspur, this should not be a problem.

Also, Manchester City have prepare a 5-year deal for Rodrygo and they will place it in front of the Brazilian once his compatriot leaves the club.

However, Real Madrid are looking to keep him. But if the Brazilian wants to leave, they will allow him to leave.

Rodrygo will struggle to have game time this season, as it is clear from the Club World Cup that Xabi Alonso doesn’t trust him.

Yet, if Rodrygo decides to stay or leaves for any other club, then Manchester City should have a backup plan.

They cannot compete this season without having a replacement for Savinho. That is why, even though Rodrygo is the prime choice to replace Savinho, Pep is looking for other options too.

And now, according to Florian Plettenberg, Manchester City have added Maghnes Akliouche to their shortlist of potential targets to replace Rodrygo.

Bayer Leverkusen are also have the Monaco star in their list of targets and are pursuing a move for him.

Just like City, the German club is also looking for a winger. So, Monaco will be hoping to start a bidding war between the two clubs for Akliouche.

However, for City to get into this race, Savinho has to leave first, and then, Rodrygo should reject them. Only after that, Manchester City will target Maghnes Akliouche.
