Manchester City are looking to offload players to make way for the new signings that they are planning to make before the transfer window shuts.
There are so many players Manchester City are targeting. With Savinho looking to leave for Tottenham Hotspur this summer, the Citizens are eyeing a big replacement.
The Manchester club is eyeing a move for Real Madrid’s Rodrygo this summer to replace Savinho if he leaves for the Spurs.
However, there are other players who could leave as well. And, according to the latest report from Fabrizio Romano, one Manchester City player will be leaving the club this summer.
The Citizens have agreed a loan deal with Bayer Leverkusen for Claudio Echeverri. The 19-year-old is looking to get more game time, and Leverkusen will give him that opportunity.
After losing Florian Wirtz to Liverpool, Erik ten Hag wanted to find a replacement for him. Leverkusen were linked with many midfielders.
However, the Dutch manager wanted to have the Argentine in his team. Ten Hag was the former manager of the rivals of the Citizens, Manchester United.
So, with Bayer Leverkusen, the Dutch manager will have a point to prove.
Also, Ten Hag will be replacing Xabi Alonso, the manager who helped Leverkusen win the Bundesliga after 30 years of trophy drought.
However, the Spaniard left Leverkusen to manage Real Madrid. Also, he won the DFB Pokal last season. Thus, Leverkusen are now used to winning trophies.
Erik ten Hag will hope that the signing of Claudio Echeverri will help him bring more silverware to Bayer Leverkusen.
