Marcus Rashford arrived at Barcelona this summer on loan from Manchester United. However, it looks like the England international has got himself into trouble at Camp Nou as well.
Last year, Old Trafford saw another managerial shift. Erik ten Hag was sacked, and Ruben Amorim replaced the Dutchman as the manager.
From there, problems began for Rashford. He fell out with the new manager. That is why Manchester United had to loan him out to Aston Villa.
However, even in January, Rashford was looking for a move to Barcelona, which was his dream destination to play after United.
In the summer, Villa tried to sign him. But his huge salary and United’s demand made it impossible for Unai Emery’s team to sign Rashford.
That is why Manchester United were concerned about finding a solution for the player.
Barcelona came to his rescue and signed him on loan with an option to buy.
Marcus Rashford joined his new Barcelona teammates during their preseason in Asia.
Initially, it felt like Rashford was getting his spark back. At times at Villa, Rashford looked like the player he was meant to be.
However, after joining Barcelona, things have started to go downhill for the 27-year-old.
According to El Nacional, the former Manchester United forward has disappointed Barcelona manager Hansi Flick with his current performances.
Inside the dressing room, Flick is demanding more from Marcus Rashford. Also, there are reports that Barcelona might end his loan spell early.
However, El Nacional suggests that Hansi Flick is ready to give Rashford time to get back to his best.
The Barcelona board and manager have been supportive of the England international.
But there will be a time when they will also expect results. For now, his place is safe.
The next few months will be key for Marcus Rashford and his future at Barcelona.
