Paris Saint-Germain line up 2026 move for Barcelona attacker

A bid around €70m would ease finances and remove a big salary.

Luis Enrique

Paris Saint-Germain are already planning ahead for the 2026 summer transfer window.

Luis Enrique wants one addition in his attack. His team is well stocked with quality attackers. But he sees room for a player to play as a number 10.

Barcelona are watching their financial numbers. The club still needs a major sale to ease the pressure.

In the 6-0 win over Valencia, one player thrived as the No.10. Fermin Lopez scored twice and could keep that role in the Champions League against Newcastle United.

That could open the door for another player’s exit. Barcelona will listen at the right price. An approach in January cannot be ruled out if the conditions are met.

According to Fichajes, PSG’s strongest interest is in Dani Olmo. Enrique is a big admirer and believes the Spain international fits his idea perfectly.

Olmo joined Barcelona from RB Leipzig in August 2024. Since then he has played 43 games in all competitions, with 12 goals and eight assists.

This season has started slower, with one assist in four appearances. Even so, the quality is clear and the role is defined.

Barcelona would want at least €70m. That figure reflects both his level and the club’s situation. An exit at that price would also help them keep Fermin, who was excellent against Valencia.

From PSG’s side, the fit is obvious. Enrique wants a player who can link lines, press, and create. Olmo ticks those boxes and raises the ceiling of an already strong unit.

There is no doubt about Olmo’s talent. But the consistency has been hard to show since the move to Camp Nou.

A bid around €70m would ease finances and remove a big salary. For a club managing its budget, that is hard to ignore.
