Jurgen Klopp had one of the most legendary tenures as the manager of Liverpool. He brought the glory days back at Anfield.

Under Klopp, the Reds won the first-ever Premier League title and their 19th first division league title. The German boss also won the Champions League with Liverpool.

Also, they played three Champions League finals under Klopp. The two finals they lost were against Real Madrid. There is no doubt that the German boss was brilliant at managing his players.

Sometimes he had to be friendly with them, and sometimes he had to be harsh. That is what made Klopp such an amazing manager.

Recently, Jurgen Klopp appeared on The Diary of a CEO podcast and revealed how he treated players who used social media to convey discontentment.

The former Liverpool boss explained this on the podcast, saying:

“There were moments during my time at Liverpool where players would feel disappointed with my choices and then would post something on their social media in the evening, and then quickly delete it.

“The next day in the dressing room, in front of everyone, I would tell him: ‘okay, go ahead and explain to us why you posted that little message.’”

There is no doubt that Klopp kept his players in check. Many managers nowadays complain about the social media use of their players.

However, Jurgen Klopp is a prime example of how managers can keep their players in check. Also, top coaches like Mikel Arteta and Pep Guardiola do this often.

That is why there are fewer dressing room leaks from these clubs than what the press gets from clubs like Manchester United.

This is surely one of the reasons why Jurgen Klopp had such a successful run as the manager of Liverpool.
