But this season, the Argentine is nowhere near his best. That is why Liverpool are looking to sign a midfielder in January.

According to Fichajes, the Reds are ready to pay €80 million to sign a Real Madrid midfielder. The Los Blancos were looking to sign Alexis Mac Allister from Liverpool as well.

However, with the recent drop in form, the Merengues will not pursue the deal. However, Arne Slot wants to sign a midfielder from Real Madrid.

Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister are the two first choice midfielders for Liverpool. Gravenberch has been fantastic this season for the Reds.

But the Dutch international is not getting the support he needs from Mac Allister. That is why Arne Slot is serious about signing Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid.

However, the French international recently did an interview with TF1 in which he shut down his Real Madrid exit links. Camavinga said.

“I’m living a dream. Not everyone gets the chance to play for the best club in the world. I have to make the most out of it. I’m very happy at Real Madrid.”

Camavinga is having a limited role under the new system of Xabi Alonso. However, if he decides to stay at Madrid, then Liverpool will be looking at other midfield targets.
