Gerard Pique and Shakira were in a relationship from 2010 to 2022. During their relationship, they built a mansion which was priced at €14 million.
Now, a Barcelona star is ready to buy that mansion. Pique and Shakira met at the 2010 FIFA World Cup, and their relationship started after the Spanish team won the competition.
Shakira also came to watch many Barcelona matches to support Pique. However, in 2022, the couple decided to end their relationship, leaving their mansion empty.
According to El Pais (via GOAL), initially, Pique and Shakira wanted €14 million for the mansion. The entire site was around 3,800 square metres.
The entire area had 3 houses: one main residence and two secondary homes. And, they have separately sold on one of the secondary homes.
That is why the price for the remaining two has been slashed to €11 million. According to Spanish reports, Barcelona wonderkid Lamine Yamal is willing to buy those two homes.
Yamal recently signed a new contract last year with Barcelona, which is worth €30 million per season. He signed a 6-year deal, which will end in 2031.
During the tenure of the contract, Yamal will earn around €180 million. So, the teenager can surely afford the reported amount for the mansion.
Lamine Yamal came close to becoming the youngest Ballon d’Or winner this summer, losing only to Ousmane Dembele.
After the ceremony, Yamal also sounded hopeful that one day, the coveted Ballon d’Or will be in his hands. And the way he is performing, very few people will doubt that.
However, his father was unhappy with the decision, and it was evident due to his comments. Lamine Yamal will be focussed on getting Barcelona back to the LaLiga tittle race after the El Clasico defeat.
But buying such an expensive house at such a young age will surely be an achievement for the 18-year-old.
