Those happy days at Stamford Bridge are long gone.

Chelsea are in a crisis. They started their campaign by becoming the World champions of club football by defeating the reigning European champions in the Club World Cup final.

Those happy days at Stamford Bridge are long gone. They were one of the Premier League title challengers this season.

However, Enzo Maresca’s team is struggling to gain momentum. His team did get the better of the reigning Premier League champions at home.

But losses against the then-struggling Manchester United, Brighton, and the newly-promoted side Sunderland have raised question marks over the future of Enzo Maresca.

The Chelsea board are not happy with these results. And they will not think twice to make a change unless the results improve.

That is why it is important for Enzo Maresca to turn things around. Meanwhile, their next Premier League game will be a tough one.

It will be against their London rivals, Tottenham Hotspur, at Stamford Bridge. However, in the midweek, they will take on the struggling Wolverhampton Wanderers in a Carabao Cup game.

If results don’t go in Chelsea’s favour, the Chelsea management have already identified the man they want to replace Enzo Maresca with.

According to indykaila News, Bournemouth’s manager Andoni Iraola is the preferred choice for the Chelsea board to replace Maresca.

The Blues are impressed with the job Iraola has done with the Cherries. So, if Maresca fails to turn things around, his days at Stamford Bridge could be numbered.
