Premier League Hall of Fame

Over the years, so many great footballers have played in the Premier League. Some even inspired generations of footballers.

So, when a footballer, who is inspired by such Premier League greats, gets inducted into the hall of fame with his idols, it seems like life has come full circle.

Recently, one man has earned the right to be with his idols in the Premier League Hall of Fame. When you look at his trophy cabinet, he has won almost everything.

Now, he has been inducted into the Hall of Fame as the 26th inductee, quite deservedly. That man is Eden Hazard.

The Belgian joined Chelsea in 2012 from Lille for €35 million. Seven years later, he left Chelsea to join perhaps the world’s biggest football club, Real Madrid.

The Los Blancos paid a whopping €160 million for the Belgian. During his time with the Blues, Hazard had made over 350 appearances in all competitions.

Also, he scored over 100 goals and assisted 88 times. The 34-year-old also won 2 Premier League titles with Chelsea.

However, injuries cut his career short, and he had to retire from professional football in 2023. After the induction into the Hall of Fame, Eden Hazard made his feelings clear (via Official Website):

“Thierry Henry is also there, you know. I grew up watching France, so players like Zidane and Henry were my idols. So being there with them is special.

“It means a lot to join the Premier League Hall of Fame. I’m very proud to join this group of players, and I think we could make a good squad!

The former Belgian international becomes the sixth Chelsea player to get a place in the Premier League Hall of Fame.
