The future of Jurgen Klopp has become a hot topic in the footballing world. The former Liverpool manager left Liverpool in 2024 to become the Global Head of Soccer for the Red Bull group.
In his current role with the Red Bull Group involves mentoring coaches, developing football philosophy, and giving advice to their network clubs.
Jurgen Klopp’s tenure as Liverpool manager had become legendary. Prior to joining the English side, Klopp was the manager of Borussia Dortmund.
He helped Dortmund capture the Bundesliga in 2011 after nine years.
Klopp’s Dortmund also defended their crown in 2012 and won the DFB Pokal to secure the domestic double for the first time in the club’s history.
He also took Dortmund to the final of the UEFA Champions League in 2013. However, Bayern Munich defeated his team in Wembley to crush his dream.
However, his dream of winning the Champions League came true six years later, while managing Liverpool.
Klopp also ended Liverpool’s league drought as the Reds won the top-flight league after 30 years. In 2024, he decided to step down as the manager of Liverpool.
Arne Slot replaced him and won the Premier League in his first year. But things have changed since then.
Liverpool’s owners invested heavily in the team as they want to challenge for the Champions League this season.
However, after a string of losses, Liverpool’s position in the league table is way below what anything expected.
The situation is quite the same at Real Madrid. The Los Blancos signed Xabi Alonso, hoping that they would replicate his success at Bayer Leverkusen.
But, recently, things are looking shaky, and the Madrid hierarchy will not shy away from making a decisive change in the dugout.
Both clubs have Jurgen Klopp as an option to replace their current manager. However, according to AS, Klopp will not become the manager of Real Madrid.
The German coach has already hinted at a romantic return to Liverpool someday. But, Red Bull’s global director of football, Oliver Mintzlaff, has already clarified Klopp’s decision:
“He has made it clear that he doesn’t want to be a manager at the moment.”
