Liverpool take clear stance on Marc Guehi transfer

Guehi’s move could become the most talked-about story.

Marc Guehi to Liverpool

Liverpool are looking for defensive reinforcements in January. And, they are expected to renew their interest in Marc Guehi.

The Reds were very close to sealing a deal for the Crystal Palace captain. They even agreed on a fee, and Guehi was reportedly ready to sign the contract.

However, the deal did not go over the line because of Oliver Glasner. The Palace boss wanted to ensure that he got a replacement before he could let Guehi leave.

The Eagles were very close to signing Igor Julio from Brighton. But that deal also did not go through, and so, Glasner blocked Guehi’s move to Anfield.

Now, the situation has changed as Guehi is entering the last six months of his Crystal Palace contract. That is why Guehi can talk to any club outside the Premier League.

However, Liverpool have a chance to agree a deal with Crystal Palace and sign Guehi in January. Clubs like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Barcelona are linked to Guehi.

But all of these clubs are looking to sign him on a free transfer. This will surely give Liverpool an advantage as the Reds can secure Guehi by paying a nominal fee.

However, according to the Daily Mail, Liverpool have decided to wait until the summer to sign Guehi.

Now, Liverpool might be ready to face competition from European giants, as Guehi’s move could become the most talked-about story in the summer.
