Next summer, there will be several changes at Real Madrid. If things don’t go the way the hierarchy has planned, then the Los Blancos board will not shy away from making cuts.
Xabi Alonso might not be in the job if Madrid fail to win a trophy. Also, his relationship with many players has become sour.
Also, there is a rift inside the dressing room, and many players are pushing Vinicius Junior out of the club. However, there is another player whose future at Real Madrid seems uncertain.
Rodrygo is preparing to change his agent as he plans a move away from Real Madrid in 2026. The Brazilian forward is looking forward to a new chapter outside Spain.
The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a transfer last summer. Clubs such as Arsenal, Manchester City, Bayern Munich, and Paris Saint-Germain were all mentioned.
However, he stayed in Madrid for Xabi Alonso’s first season in charge. Speculation continued into the new campaign.
Rodrygo spent large spells on the bench during the opening weeks of the 2025–26 season. He was often overlooked in favour of Vinicius Junior and new signing Franco Mastantuono.
But that situation changed towards the end of the year. Rodrygo finished strongly and recorded three goal contributions in his final three starts.
Those performances helped calm immediate exit talk. However, according to SPORT, Rodrygo still wants to leave. The report states there is “no turning back” despite his improved form.
He would prefer a winter move. That option now appears unlikely due to an injury to Kylian Mbappe. Because of that, the Brazilian will remain at the club for the rest of the season.
SPORT claimed that he is in advanced talks with two high-profile agents. The forward wants an agent experienced in major deals. Real Madrid were asking for around €100 million last summer.
