Alejandro Garnacho could return to his old club

Garnacho might have a chance to rejoin his former club.

Alejandro Garnacho

Alejandro Garnacho left Manchester United this summer after falling out with Ruben Amorim. The Argentine was one of the brightest young talents during his time with the Red Devils.

Under Erik ten Hag, Garnacho became a regular first-team player. He also produced fantastic performances on the pitch.

For the Red Devils, the 21-year-old made 144 senior appearances. He has 26 goals and 22 assists to his name as well.

Garnacho also won the Puskas Award in 2024 for his amazing overhead kick against Everton at Goodison Park in 2023.

Following the Europa League defeat to Tottenham Hotspur, Garnacho fell out with Ruben Amorin, the then-Manchester United manager.

As a result, he actively wanted to leave the club. He was also a part of the bomb squad that Ruben Amorim had, consisting of the players he wanted to sell.

So, the Argentine became a part of a mass exodus of wingers from the club, with the likes of Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Marcus Rashford leaving along with him.

After that, he joined Chelsea. The move cost the Blues £40 million. But his time at Stamford Bridge has not gone the way he imagined.

So far, he has made 24 appearances for Chelsea, scoring only 6 goals and 3 assists. In the Premier League, he has managed just a goal in 14 games.

Now, Garnacho might have a chance to rejoin his former club. He joined Manchester United in 2020 from Atletico Madrid for £420,000.

According to Fichajes, Atletico Madrid are exploring a loan deal for Alejandro Garnacho until the end of the season. If they can sign him, then Garnacho will return to his old club.

However, the winger will look to stay at Stamford Bridge and perform well so that he can get a place in the Argentina World Cup squad.
