Liverpool are eyeing a move for Andy Robertson replacement

Robertson may be leaving after nine seasons at Anfield.

Liverpool are preparing for a major change on the left side of their defence. Andy Robertson has become a serious target for Tottenham Hotspur.

The Scotland captain’s current deal with Liverpool will expire in June. At that time, he will receive many offers from clubs trying sign him for free.

That is why Tottenham wants to sign the player in January. They know the value Roobertson can add to their squad. So, they are adamant on having the left-back in their squad.

But Liverpool face a massive problem. They cannot let Robertson go without finding a replacement.

With uncertainty growing around Robertson’s future, the club are now stepping up their plans to bring in a replacement before the January window closes.

One option they are seeking is recalling Kostas Tsimikas from his loan at AS Roma. However, the Reds have another option in their hands.

According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool are ready to renew their push to sign Antonee Robinson from Fulham.

The 28-year-old has been admired at Anfield for some time. And now, with Robertson in advanced talks with Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool are accelerating their move.

Last summer, Robinson was firmly on Liverpool’s shortlist. However, the club eventually opted to sign Milos Kerkez as a long-term option.

With Robertson potentially leaving after nine seasons at Anfield, Arne Slot and the club’s sporting department feel Robinson is a natural fit.

Quietly, Robinson has become one of the most consistent full-backs in the league over the last two seasons.

However, Fulham are not under pressure. Robinson is under contract until 2028, and Silva has repeatedly stressed the importance of keeping his core group together.

As for Robertson, his potential exit would mark the end of an era. He is one of Liverpool’s modern icons and arguably the Premier League’s best left-back of the past decade.

Now, if Liverpool can strike an agreement with Fulham, they will be securing a player entering his prime.
