Liverpool have already opened talks with the player’s camp.

Transfer Update - Liverpool

Liverpool are trying desperately to do something to boost the morale of the fan base. The loss to Bournemouth has shocked all Liverpool fans.

That is why the Reds are trying to do something that will make their fans happy. Also, there is a need in the squad as well. Thus, they are looking to make a move for a Premier League star.

After losing out on Antoine Semenyo, who could have been a replacement for Mohamed Salah, and Marc Guehi, who could have been the successor to Virgil van Dijk, the Reds have learnt their lesson.

That is why they are no longer ready to wait and see their targets join their rivals. Arne Slot sees an opportunity in the January market to improve the midfield of the squad.

So, the Dutch manager is asking the board to pursue a Premier League midfielder. Also, Real Madrid are keeping a close eye on the player.

That is why the Reds are not ready to wait. They have already opened talks with the player’s camp. And now, according to El Nacional, they have submitted a bid of around £86 million.

As per the Spanish outlet, Liverpool have submitted a bid for Adam Wharton. But Real Madrid are still pursuing the player. However, the Reds are not forcing Wharton to join them this season.

If Palace accepts the bid, then Liverpool would allow the former Blackburn Rovers midfielder to complete the season at Selhurst Park. Palace have not made a decision yet.
