Karim Benzema

Karim Benzema joined Al-Ittihad in 2023 after leaving Real Madrid. But before he left the Spanish capital, the French superstar had already etched his name in Madrid’s history.

He joined Real Madrid in 2008 for €35 million. The French striker scored over 350 goals for the Spanish club. He became their second-highest goal scorer after Cristiano Ronaldo.

Benzema also holds the record for the most assists by a Real Madrid player. He has 165 assists to his name. Also, he has won multiple trophies for the Los Blancos.

During his time, he won five Champions League titles along with four La Liga titles. His most prolific season came in 2021/22. In that season, he scored 44 goals for the Los Blancos.

He helped Real Madrid with the La Liga and Champions League. So, he was awarded the prestigious Ballon d’Or in 2022.

But the following year, he decided to part ways with the Los Blancos and join the Saudi Pro League club, Al-Ittihad.

Now, the French star is on the verge of joining a new club after falling out with Al-Ittihad. They had initially had an agreement with Benzema to extend his contract.

However, the club revised the terms, and Benzema did not take it lightly. So, he decided not to play for Al-Ittihad. And, according to SkySports, Benzema will not join Al-Hilal.

Benzema scored over 50 goals for the Saudi Pro League club and won numerous trophies. Now, he will be looking to do the same for Al-Hilal.

As per reports, Benzema will be getting a lucrative deal. At 38, it will be interesting to see how his Al-Hilal career pans out.
