After the 4-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the Copa del Rey, Barcelona will be under pressure when they travel to Estadi Montilivi to take on Girona in La Liga.

The Catalan giants have already lost their top spot in the La Liga to Real Madrid, who won their game against Real Sociedad.

However, Barcelona can regain their top spot if they beat Girona. Also, after the humiliating loss against Atletico Madrid, Hansi Flick will be hoping that his team can bounce back in this game.

While speaking to the press, Hansi Flick confirmed that Raphinha has recovered from the adductor discomfort that ruled him out of the last three official matches.

The Brazilian will now be available for selection. Barcelona boss said (quotes via Mundo Deportivo):

“Raphinha will be able to play. He is very important because he gives us a lot. We miss him when he’s not there.

“You can see in training how he increases the team’s tempo and intensity. I’ve said it more than once: for me, last season he was the best player in the world.”

The German boss did not confirm whether Raphina would start the game or not. Speaking on Marcus Rashford, Flick confirmed that the England international will be unavailable. He said:

“Marcus Rashford is ruled out for tomorrow. He’s much better, but he has to take things step by step.”

At the same time, Flick addressed the situations of Gavi and Pedri. Both remain unavailable. But both are progressing. He explained:

“With Gavi, we have to be careful. What I’ve seen in training, I’ve liked. Maybe he won’t be ready in February, but I think he will be in March.”

So, having Raphinha back will be a huge boost for the Blaugrana ahead of their crucial clash against Girona.
