Next summer, there will be interest in Bruno Guimaraes from multiple clubs across Europe. And Newcastle United know this.
Without any doubt, the Brazilian has been one of the best players for Newcastle in recent years. He played a crucial role in their recent success.
Sandro Tonali and Bruno Guimaraes are surely one of the best midfield duos in the Premier League.
With that said, Tonali will also be a target for several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal and Manchester United.
So, Newcastle United will be looking to safeguard their key players. They have already done that with one of their key forwards.
Last summer, they lost their best goal scorer in recent years, Alexander Isak, to Liverpool. He was instrumental in helping Newcastle clinch the Carabao Cup and Champions League qualification.
However, this season, the story has been different. The Magpies secured their qualification for the Champions League round of 16.
But in the Premier League, things have been very different for the Magpies. They will be delighted to secure a place in European football next summer.
Newcastle are in the 13th spot in the Premier League table and 15 points behind Aston Villa, who are occupying the 4th place in the table.
So, the Magpies will be looking for at least qualification in the Europa League or the Conference League. If they fail, they might lose some of their key stars.
Amid this uncertainty at St. James’ Park, Bruno Guimaraes has already revealed his stance on his future at Newcastle.
According to The Telegraph, Bruno Guimaraes will stay at Newcastle in the future, irrespective of the outcome of the current season.
Manchester City and Barcelona are constantly linked with a move for the Brazilian. However, he loves the city and would love to continue playing at St. James’ Park.
The 28-year-old’s contract with Newcastle will expire in 2028. So, he will continue playing for the Magpies despite interest from some of the best clubs in Europe.
