Alexis Mac Allister

Next summer, Liverpool have a big decision to make on the future of Alexis Mac Allister. The Argentine has become a key target for Real Madrid next summer.

They are looking for a player who can bring control to their midfield. Last year, when Xabi Alonso joined Madrid as their manager, he wanted to sign a midfielder.

That is why the Los Blancos tried to sign Martin Zubimendi, who eventually joined Arsenal. Since then, Madrid have been tracking multiple midfielders, and Mac Allister is one of those.

Now, Real Madrid are ready to pursue him next summer and start negotiations with the English club. So, Liverpool have a huge decision to make on his future.

After playing a crucial role in helping the Reds lift the Premier League title last season, Mac Allister had a disappointing start to the current season.

However, in recent games, it looks like the Argentine is getting back to his best. He was a crucial part of the Argentine team that won the World Cup in 2022 in Qatar.

Now, the 27-year-old has made over 130 appearances for the English club in all competitions, scoring 19 times and assisting 17 times.

In the current Premier League season, he has only two goals and the same number of assists to his name, which is far below his usual standards.

Still, Madrid are ready to sign him and Liverpool have made their mind on what they will do if the Spanish giants make a move for the Argentine.

According to Planeta Real Madrid, the English club will not sell Mac Allister at this moment in time. The Argentine has become a key player in Arne Slot’s system.

He has a contract with Liverpool that runs until 2028. So, if Real Madrid want the midfielder, Liverpool will ask for a hefty transfer fee, which might be out of reach for the Spanish giants.
