Barcelona are reviving their season at the perfect time. The Blaugrana has peaked just at the right time. Their arch-rivals are going through the exact opposite patch.
A few more bad results might result in a change of face at the dugout at Santiago Bernabeu. However, for Barcelona, things are looking brighter than ever.
Since that heartbreaking El Clasico defeat, they have won six LaLiga games back-to-back. And, after the last round of matches in the Spanish top division league, they are firmly at the top.
They have taken a four-point advantage over their rivals, Real Madrid. This has sent shockwaves throughout Madrid. However, the Balugrana are happy.
Also, there was a problem that Joan Laporta needed to address by injecting cash into the team. But it seems now the problem could be solved by requiring extra cash.
Robert Lewandowski has been the first-choice leader of the forward line for Barcelona for some years. However, his contract will expire next summer.
And, by then, he will be approaching his 38th birthday. So, the Catalan giants may not wish to extend the Polish international’s deal.
So, they have to find a suitable replacement for Lewandowski, which can be harder said than done. However, it seems the Blaugrana have found the ideal replacement.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona might trust Ferran Torres to lead the line next season, once Robert Lewandowski leaves.
The Spanish international has already scored 11 times this season in LaLiga. And, his hat-trick in the last game against Real Betis showed why he can do the job after Lewandowski.
🚨 𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚: Ferran Torres is one of the candidates to be Barça’s starting striker next season if Lewandowski leaves.
