Even after ending the season on a high and earning a spot in the England squad, one Chelsea winger might be heading for the exit this summer.
The player in question became more involved at Stamford Bridge as the campaign went on, showing flashes of creativity and energy that brought hope to supporters.
His form helped him break into the national team setup, something few expected earlier in the year.
But behind the scenes, things have not been entirely smooth. The club’s manager, Enzo Maresca, is believed to have concerns.
Public criticism of the winger’s attitude and work rate earlier in the season hinted at tension, and now those doubts appear to be influencing transfer plans.
According to The Guardian, Chelsea are open to selling the player if the right offer comes in.
This move would be part of a wider effort to reshape the squad and comply with financial fair play regulations, especially after heavy spending in recent windows.
The winger, who joined Chelsea from PSV Eindhoven in January 2023, has shown glimpses of his talent with his ability to take on defenders and spark attacks down the right flank.
However, consistency and off-field discipline have reportedly been issues the club is not ignoring.
That puts Noni Madueke in a difficult spot. Despite his late-season rise and international recognition, his future at Stamford Bridge is now uncertain.
With Chelsea looking to make changes this summer, Madueke could be one of the surprise names heading out if the right buyer steps forward.
Noni Madueke has made 41 appearances and scored 11 goals while providing 5 assists. However, the Chelsea boss knows these numbers are not good enough.
They are looking at different options is the market to strengthen their frontline. Chelsea want to be competitive in the Champions League and challenge for the Premier League next year.
So, Enzo Maresca looking to rebuild the squad and Noni Madueke may not be a part of his plans. That is why he is looking to offload the player.
