After Manchester United won their game against Tottenham Hotspur earlier, it was a game that Chelsea had to win to keep up the pace in the top 4 race.
And the Blues did that handsomely with a hat-trick from their superstar Cole Palmer. This was the fourth hat-trick from the Mancunian in a Blue shirt.
With that, he broke the record for most hat-tricks by a Chelsea player. Palmer overtook the likes of Jimmy Floyd-Hasselbaink, Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.
These three Chelsea legends scored three hat-tricks for the Blues in their careers, and Palmer overtook them in just over two years at the club.
Also, Palmer became the first player in the history of the Premier League to score three first-half hat-tricks.
Furthermore, he is now second in the list for all-time English top scorers in the Premier League for Chelsea.
So, it was a memorable afternoon for Palmer, and he knew that his manager would have some kind words for him during his post-match interview.
That is why he gatecrashed the interview, which threw Liam Rosenior off guard. During the interview, Palmer appeared out of nowhere as Rosenior was about to answer a question.
So, the 23-year-old leaned against a wall and listened to his boss’ post-match in a hilarious moment. And the clip has now gone viral as fans are appreciating the light-heartedness of the moment.
Cole Palmer cheekily gatecrashed a live TV interview, instantly turning it into must-watch television.
