Recently, footballers have been facing burglary quite often. However, footballers facing criminals is not that uncommon.
Recently, an ex-Manchester United forward also revealed his encounter with criminals during his playing days.
For the Chelsea star, this is not the first time. There was another incident a few years ago, when he was away from the country. But for this incident, he was present at home.
Chelsea winger Raheem Sterling has been left shaken after his home in Berkshire was targeted by masked intruders last weekend while he was inside with his young children.
The terrifying incident marks the second burglary he has suffered in just three years.
According to The Daily Telegraph, the attempted break-in occurred around 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. It was moments before Chelsea faced Wolves in the Premier League.
Sterling, who has not featured for the Blues this season, was at home with his long-term partner and their three children when the criminals attempted to gain entry.

Despite that, the intruders still managed to approach the property before being detected. Fortunately, Sterling and his family escaped unharmed.
However, the emotional toll of the incident has been immense, as he was also a target in 2022 when a same incident happended in his previous home in Surrey during the World Cup.
At that time, the former Manchester City forward was in Qatar with the England squad and flew home urgently after hearing the news.
The traumatic experience forced him to miss a key match before returning to the national camp ahead of the quarter-final defeat to France.
Meanwhile, Thames Valley Police have launched a thorough investigation. And they have appealed for witnesses who may have seen suspicious activity in the area.
