Eden Hazard became one of the most entertaining players in Premier League history during his unforgettable years at Chelsea.
The Belgian forward dazzled supporters with his dribbling, creativity and ability to decide massive matches almost on his own.
During seven seasons at Stamford Bridge, Hazard won multiple major trophies, including two Premier League titles and two Europa Leagues.
He eventually left Chelsea for Real Madrid in 2019, but injuries prevented him from reaching the same heights in Spain.
Hazard officially retired from football in 2023 and has largely stayed away from the spotlight since then.
However, the former Belgium international has now moved into a completely different world after retirement.
Instead of coaching or television work, Hazard has become involved in a growing sports technology business that is already attracting major attention in Belgium.
The platform connects athletes, clubs and staff members across different sports, and many have already labelled it the “LinkedIn” or “Facebook” of sport.
Hazard is not the only former footballer involved, either. According to The Sun, Eden Hazard has become an investor and ambassador for Opportunity Players.
It is an online platform created to help athletes connect with clubs and sporting opportunities worldwide.
Former Belgium defender Laurent Ciman manages the project, while former Tottenham winger Nacer Chadli and Girona defender Axel Witsel have also invested in the business.
Hazard praised the project and said:
“It is unique. Nothing like this existed before, and we have created it.”
The platform reportedly already has around 40,000 users. They are also planning to expand heavily across China, South America and North Africa over the next year.
Away from football, Hazard has also invested in a wine business since retiring and regularly participates in charity matches and cycling events.
