Erling Haaland is enjoying another productive season with Manchester City. However, the striker is still looking for ways to improve his game.
The Norwegian has already scored 25 goals for Pep Guardiola’s side this season. He has also played a key role in helping his country qualify for the World Cup.
At the weekend, Haaland continued his strong form. He scored twice against West Ham. It was another important contribution in City’s push for the Premier League title.
But despite his numbers, Haaland is not standing still. He is already focusing on City’s next league game against Nottingham Forest. The striker is keen to stay sharp as the season enters a crucial phase.
Earlier this week, Haaland shared a post on Instagram. The photo showed him posing alongside Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The post quickly attracted attention.
Haaland kept the caption simple. He wrote the word “Knowledge”. It suggested he was taking advice from his former coach.
Jack Grealish also reacted to the post. The winger commented, “Ole Gunnar Knowledge.” Grealish is currently on loan at Everton.
Solskjaer knows City’s next opponents well. He famously scored four goals against Nottingham Forest in an 8-1 win. That performance came after he entered the game in the 72nd minute.
The former Manchester United striker worked with Haaland during the early stages of his career. He coached him at Molde in Norway. The pair have remained in touch since then.
Solskjaer once urged United to sign Haaland for just £4 million in 2018. The club chose not to act on his advice.
Since then, Haaland has gone on to win two Premier League titles with City. He has also lifted the Champions League, FA Cup, Club World Cup, and Super Cup.
Haaland has previously spoken about Solskjaer’s influence. After working on his finishing under him at Molde, he scored 20 goals in 50 games.
His scoring record has only improved since spells at Salzburg, Dortmund, and City. Earlier this month, he also set another milestone by scoring against Real Madrid in the Champions League.
