Rodrygo is having a tough time at Real Madrid since Xabi Alonso joined the club as the head coach.
The former Bayer Leverkusen manager replaced Carlo Ancelotti after the Italian joined the Brazilian national team.
Under Ancelotti, Rodrygo had played a crucial role in helping Real Madrid win their 15th Champions League trophy. Also, he played a big role in Madrid’s domestic triumph.
However, under Alonso, his role has been diminished. It was evident since the Club World Cup. That is why speculations regarding his future were in full swing during the summer.
But Rodrygo stayed at Real Madrid for this season as the club didn’t receive any offer for the Brazilian.
There were many clubs showing interest in signing the 24-year-old. Premier League clubs such as Manchester City, Arsenal, and Liverpool wanted to sign the forward.
Also, there were many Saudi Pro League clubs ready to spend big money on the player. However, Real Madrid never put him on the market officially.
Now, Florian Plettenberg has recently dismissed rumours linking Rodrygo to another Premier League club.
As per the German reporter, Tottenham Hotspur are not looking to sign Rodrygo due to his salary demands.
Rodrygo has a contract with Real Madrid till 2028. That is why the Brazilian is not in a hurry to leave the club. And, the situation for the Los Blancos is the same.
However, reports suggest that a January move could be possible for Rodrygo as some clubs are exploring a move for him.
