The Premier League is by far the toughest domestic top-flight football league competition in the world. That is why winning it is a privilege for any footballer.
After finishing their career in the English top-flight league, many past champions turned to football management and punditry.
However, sometimes after success in the Premier League, many players turn their careers in a different direction, away from the football pitch altogether.
The same is the case for a Premier League winner who won the title at Chelsea under the legendary manager Jose Mourinho.
Glen Johnson won the Premier League, played at a World Cup and lifted major trophies. He now earns his living in a very different field as he runs his own real estate company.
Johnson came through West Ham United’s youth system before he left for Chelsea in 2003. Roman Abramovich had just taken over, and Johnson became the first signing of the new era.
He helped Chelsea win the Premier League in 2004/05 and also lifted the League Cup that season after his long throw set up a goal in the final.
Johnson later moved to Portsmouth and enjoyed the best spell of his career. He won the FA Cup, played in Europe and scored the Premier League Goal of the Season with a brilliant volley against Hull City.
Liverpool signed him next. He scored the winning penalty in the 2012 League Cup final and stayed at Anfield until his move to Stoke in 2015.
Johnson also played every game for England at the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012. He earned 54 caps.
In 2007, Johnson and his brother Lewis set up their real estate business in Dartford. Glen Johnson now works as CEO of the Johnsons Real Estate.
