Kylian Mbappe continues to dominate headlines at the World Cup. The Real Madrid forward has started the tournament in sensational form and is firmly in the race for the Golden Boot.
The France international has scored four goals in his first two matches and is currently competing with Lionel Messi and Erling Haaland for the award.
His performances have once again underlined why many consider him one of the best players in world football.
Despite his focus remaining on France’s World Cup campaign, questions about his long-term future continue to follow him.
Mbappe remains under contract with Real Madrid until 2029 and still has plenty left to achieve in European football.
However, recent comments from the French star have reignited speculation about a future move to Major League Soccer.
Speaking to reporters, Mbappe revealed that Inter Miami co-owner David Beckham has already discussed the possibility of him moving to the United States. Mbappe said (via FOX Sports):
“Will I come here before the end of my career? Maybe, I do not know. David asks me if I want to come to the United States. We will see. It is a country I like, it is a pleasure to be here.
“The United States has a different culture from ours. I have always liked this culture where ambition has no limits.”
Beckham’s Inter Miami could eventually emerge as a potential destination if Mbappe decides to move to MLS later in his career.
The club may need a new global superstar in the coming years, especially with Lionel Messi’s current contract due to expire in 2028.
Now, Mbappe’s immediate focus remains on Real Madrid and France. However, his latest comments have ensured that speculation surrounding a future MLS move will not disappear anytime soon.
