A Manchester City star has reportedly split from his celebrity partner after more than a year together. The couple had become one of the most talked-about couples in recent years.
They first started dating after meeting during the MTV Europe Music Awards in Manchester and quickly became regular figures across social media and celebrity events.
The relationship also appeared to become increasingly serious over time.
The television presenter reportedly even relocated from London to the North West to spend more time closer to the footballer.
However, reports now suggest the relationship quietly ended several weeks ago.
According to The Sun, Maya Jama and Manchester City defender Ruben Dias decided to go their separate ways after 18 months together.
The report claims the split happened shortly before Maya travelled to Scotland to film Celebrity Traitors.
Fans also started noticing that both Jama and Dias recently deleted several photos together from social media.
The breakup reportedly shocked people close to the pair because the relationship had appeared stable publicly.
Dias joined Manchester City in 2020 and quickly established himself as one of Pep Guardiola’s most important defenders.
Meanwhile, Jama became one of the biggest television personalities in the UK through shows including Love Island.
Before dating Dias, Jama previously enjoyed several high-profile relationships. Her most famous romance came with British rapper Stormzy.
The pair originally dated between 2015 and 2019 before briefly rekindling their relationship years later. However, they officially confirmed their final split in 2024.
Jama also previously dated NBA player Ben Simmons and the pair even became engaged before eventually separating.
Jama and Dias insist the split was not caused by one dramatic issue. Instead, both sides realised their lifestyles and long-term priorities had become increasingly different.
