New Bayern Munich striker Nicolas Jackson has discussed the details of his loan deal.
This was a loan deal that gained much media traction after an eventual few days towards the end of the summer transfer window.
A loan deal was initially agreed between Chelsea and Bayern for Jackson’s services.
However, an injury to Liam Delap, who is now out until December, forced Chelsea to cancel this deal.
Jackson was on a plane to Munich when the decision was made.
A deal was later struck between the two European giants, with a loan fee of £14.3 million agreed.
There was also an obligation to buy included in the deal, worth £56.2 million.
This is also dependant on one clause in Jackson’s deal.
Bayern are only under an obligation to buy provided that Jackson makes 40 starts for the club.
This has raised eyebrows given Bayern already having Harry Kane up front and Jackson’s inconsistencies in front of goal during his time with Chelsea.
Nicolas Jackson discusses loan deal clause
According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Jackson has spoken on this deal clause.
“I don’t focus on my 40 starts. I just want to do my best for Bayern.
“As a player, you want to be where everyone wants you to be there. I’ve watched Bayern all my life. It was a dream to join this massive club.”
Whilst yet to kick a ball for Bayern, Jackson will hope he can make his first appearance for the club after the international break.
