Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis has made another managerial change. Forest entered the 2026/27 Premier League season under Oliver Glasner after several managerial changes during the previous campaign.
The club also reshaped his squad during the summer, adding Ousmane Diomande from Sporting CP for £34.3 million and Liam Delap from Chelsea for £50 million.
Daniel Munoz, Xaver Schlager and Steven Benda were also added, while Elliot Anderson joined Manchester City for £116 million.
Forest have collected one point from their opening league fixtures as Glasner continues implementing his system with the rebuilt squad.
However, Marinakis has now made another managerial decision at one of the other clubs under his ownership.
Olympiacos have parted company with head coach Jose Luis Mendilibar just seven games into their season.
The club officially confirmed Mendilibar’s departure after the Greek club failed to qualify for this season’s Champions League.
The 65-year-old had previously guided Olympiacos to the Conference League title in 2024 before winning a domestic treble the following season.
His departure means Marinakis has now overseen the exit of 25 managers across his clubs during the last 16 years.
Marinakis also owns Portuguese side Rio Ave alongside Nottingham Forest and Olympiacos.
Forest themselves went through several managers last season. Nuno Espirito Santo departed before Ange Postecoglou was dismissed after eight winless matches.
Sean Dyche subsequently took charge before leaving after 25 games, while Vitor Pereira helped Forest avoid relegation before departing after the season.
Glasner has since taken control at the City Ground and remains Nottingham Forest’s head coach.
